The limitations of generic platforms
Many B2B companies initially opt for standard solutions—for example, Shopify—on the premise that it will be a good, quick, and economical option to start the digitization process. However, these types of platforms do not always allow integration with the company's ERP, separate price management by customer or customer group, automation of billing and order shipping processes, integration with stock management systems, logistics or customized CRM solutions, credit control for each customer, payment limits, or internal authorizations.
As the business evolves, these limitations become obstacles to business efficiency and scalability, resulting in manual processes, isolated systems, and an unprofessional customer experience.
