The new museum visitor profile
The profile of museum visitors has changed, and today there is greater age diversity, a natural familiarity with digital solutions, and a natural expectation of interaction. The passive (contemplative only) exhibition model no longer meets all expectations.
This does not mean transforming the museum into a technological space, but recognizing that the visitor experience is crucial. Technology does not replace the object or historical fact; on the contrary, it can help make complex content more accessible and distant periods of history closer.
A school audience may seek dynamism and visual stimulation, while a researcher may want technical detail and depth. Interactive multimedia responds to both in the same exhibition.
